At Compassionate Yoga, we offer outdoor (and indoor) yoga classes, individual personal training, fitness classes, meditation classes, wellness workshops, mindful triathlons, life coaching, wellness counseling, and of course compassion training.
Compassionate Yoga uses the heart chakra as its focal point to harness the pure energy of love for cultivating compassion and enhancing one's spiritual growth. It is a form of spiritual therapy plus fitness training. Compassionate Yoga is a blend of Vinyasa Yoga, Anusara Yoga, Heart Rhythm Meditation, Compassionate-Mindfulness Meditation, Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Shamatha Meditation, mantras, visualization, chanting, mindfulness, and encouragement.
Compassionate Yoga ventures to various studios and parks in metropolitan Atlanta, serving primarily Fulton County and Dekalb County. During the spring, summer, and early fall, Compassionate Yoga leads an outdoor yoga wellness series called Open Your Heart to the Sky. This yoga/meditation practice is suitable for all fitness levels, all ages, all body types, all genders, and all religious/nonreligious backgrounds.
It's our mission for our students to adopt a lifestyle of compassion, compassion for others, compassion for those different from you, compassion for those you don't like or those who don't like you, compassion for those you care about, compassion for all living things, and of course compassion inward for yourself.
How does Compassionate Yoga
Compassion is the mental identification of someone’s or something’s suffering, the emotional awareness of personal clemency towards self or another, the aspiration to understand, acknowledge, and heal someone’s or something’s imperfections and afflictions, and ultimately it is the profound spiritual state of unbiased unconditional caring.
